ABOUT THE SOUTHERN IDAHO LEARNING CENTER
The Southern Idaho Learning Center is a non-profit organization located in Twin
Falls, Idaho that serves as a regional center for the diagnosis and treatment of
children ages 5 to 21 with learning problems. Services are provided
regardless of income.
The mission of the Southern Idaho Learning Center is
to enable students with learning problems, especially those with learning
disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), to achieve their
full potential
by:
- Providing clinical understanding of the students and how they learn.
- Identifying and providing treatment alternatives based on that clinical
understanding.
- Providing parent, teacher and community education in methods for
identifying and teaching children who learn differently.
The Center was established in 1991 by the Scottish Rite Masons and is
one of nearly 150 Clinics and Centers in the nation supported by the Scottish
Rite Masons. Since its inception, The Center has provided services in one form
or another to more than 13,000 teachers, parents and students and, in a given year, serves 900 to
1000 teachers, parents and students.

Melody Lenkner, Director, MA CCC-SLP
