CLASSES FOR CHILDREN WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD) AND THEIR PARENTS

These classes are offered once a week for 8 weeks. There are four 8-week sessions throughout the year. The classes are for children with ADHD and their parents. The parent classes cover the following topics: understanding ADHD, research based techniques for managing the behaviors of the child with ADHD, managing the child's school and homework problems, and understanding public school law as it relates to ADHD.

The children's classes cover the following topics: self-monitoring of behaviors, expressing feelings appropriately, evaluating problem behaviors and developing alternatives, sharing and cooperating, managing anger and frustration

The classes are instructed by Jane Krumm, pictured above. Jane is a clinical social worker with extensive experience working both in the public schools and in private practice with families who have children with behavior problems.
